Now, I do like Microsoft's search engine bing but from a simple and minimal guy point of view google does it for me just fine. Bing has too many images displaying but the image search is great, I say they got google beat on that part.. so far. Every so often I will google my name and see what comes up but what I have notice the past years the name is beginning to get more popular. I was somewhat popular at one point in the "gfx" world which I had people copying my name several times. I heard a guy started using my name on his gamer accounts and he admitted he got it from me.... which is cool I guess.. but a unique name like "zenko" is something I hope to carry on by myself only.

The word "zen" is quite popular adding "ko" may seem not so creative but I never knew what "zen" meant and if it was even a word when I got "zenko" so only makes it fare. Anyways it appears the name zenko seems to be taken when making any online account now which sucks. One time I spent all day signing up to a lot of social sites and registering my name before someone else does... To have myspace.com/zenko tells you something Emotion: tongue.gif

Not sure how many of you have kept up-to-date on Stankicek's color scheme application but I have recently visited the old website and found it he has Version 3 up and running.

If your a designer or in the need of some color schemes for your projects this is one or by far the best color choser web based application you can find around. Totally free! It has a great amount of features from displaying the colors you create on a demo light/dark template to completely customizing the color settings. The color wheel is very well made and overall is just sexy!

Take a few minutes to check it out and if you do happen to fall in love with share with others.

Where are you? Why are you not here with us!


Simple, work. I have a full-time job so makes it hard for me to be active on artician though I do what I can. On top of all that I'm currently working on a side project that I hope to take off later this year so really artician is on my 3rd list of things to do. I've decided to focus more on my side project, work and a few small little things and only get on artician when I have the time. So not sure where will that place me as being artician staff but we will see in the upcoming weeks.

Keep it simple and Sexy


If you haven't notice I changed my profile skin from "uzziel" to "ovize", a more simplistic and minimalism approach. Why? because it may not seem to you but I'm really a simple guy. I like everything simple, fast and very organizable though sometimes I have to create not so simple things but I'm really simple. Ovize is the name of my side project so just use the name for the new skin I'm creating and is not complete so you may find errors and very possible to see zombies around the screen so just be cautions and have that shotgun ready.

Friends + Watches + Comments


So I've been told I'm a whore, well to be precise "artician whore" lol. I have added over 450+ members to my friend list and still counting! There is a reason though, in the future (possible soon) I want to create a army of minions and take over artician whaha. No but seriously I will go start chatting with everyone on my friend-list to see how they doing and keep myself and them occupied. "But you have over 400 friends.... you serious?" yes, very. I have given over 100 individual comments to profiles which non are copy paste and I actually browse the user's profile not just drop the comment and leave. If someone adds you to their watch list be kind and watch them back, I mean they want to see what new stuff you will submit and create a relationship with you is only fare to return the favor. You watch me I watch you rawr! Me giving comments is going to drop dramatically so if you don't hear from me is because of what I mention on my first paragraph.

I have decided to make safari my default browser now! For me to change FireFox as my default browser means a lot, safari 4 is simply stunning. Is incredible fast, the window size is much smaller, the tabs are located at the top next to the minimize-resize-close buttons, the smart address fill is simply awesome! There is so many new features so you will really have to visit the features link I posted.

Safari certainly speaks to designers like myself, simplistic and straight forward.

Let me introduce myself since there has been many new faces on the community and even so some older members don't know much about me so now is your chance to get to know me.


Daniel Gallegos
I'm 23 years old birthday coming in March 26 so I will be 24 soon so make sure you give me a nice birthday gift! Currently working full-time as a web designer at a local web development & technology company is a fun job but sure takes pretty much all my day and all week. I went to school and studied web design though like some of us I already had knowledge of my field so classes were a breeze or more like a piece of cake. During my studies I started digital artwork (2004) mostly 3D abstract at the time but doing web designer nevertheless. As years pass by I started to grow on web designer even more at the same time digital art was something I love to do as well sooner or later I found myself joining many art type communities (2005-06). I started my own art community forum (KeyFaith: Designs) which lasted about two years so it was very fun. Around these days they were a lot of small art related communities but now only the strong survived!

Eventually I became part of artician in 2006 but in those days artician looked very complex and easy to get lost so keeping active was an issue sometimes I will randomly disappear. Life took different routes but one road was certain for me and that was to return to artician so that is what I did last year since then I have been developing my love for artician and at the same time sharing my skills, knowledge and experience with others.

I am now Admin in charge of community development. If you haven't looked at our about us page then I will give you more detail on my role.

As the community developer is my job to make the artician experience better and more enjoyable. Any user, support or any community concerns are directed to me at the same time I'm involve in some of the design aspect of the site. If you haven't notice I am always welcoming new members or giving out a few comments here and there, I strongly believe a site is only strong as it's community and therefor I will do my best to keep the community active and enjoyable.

And NO! I do not copy paste my comments, I actually take the time to view your profile :]

I made some background and effects changes to have a better focus. Very important that we contribute to the site by sharing our artworks and providing ideas/guides/comments to the artician community. So don't be afraid to hit the submit button hehe. I am also working on new artworks that I will be submitting so I hope to contribute real soon.
